Our Work
We partner with rural schools to identify 3rd - 12th grade students who may need support via screening. Then we help young people and their families connect with quality care and services.
Proportionately more rural youth die by suicide than their urban peers. Major challenges in youth suicide prevention are identifying young people with elevated risk of suicide and connecting them to the timely mental health care they need. In partnership with MERET Solutions, LLC, we are implementing self-reported mental health screening and referral to care in schools across Montana and rural regions of other states. The intervention is called Screening Linked to Care (SLTC).
